Since numerous parcels are send by post or a similar service, it happens at times that parcels do not reach their destination.

While the USA may have good tracking systems of shipments, many other countries have not, especially with regard to exports.

By signing up to PayPal sellers agree to abide by their set of rules whether they agree with them or not.

Paypal as an American Company has limited knowledge about the transport services of other countries and is therefore not really in a position to make fair rulings regarding disputes or claims on the non-delivery of shipments. In general the rule goes: Proof of shipment delivery: Seller wins. No proof of shipment delivery: Buyer wins. With this approach it is more than obvious that the seller hardly has a chance to win any dispute or claim.

We as sellers therefore adopt the following framework or policy as a protection against PayPal disputes and claims:

How long does it take for my shipment to arrive ?

This varies.

Mostly shipments from DHL Global Mail arrive within 3 weeks or so. Russia seems to take longer. Perhaps some 5 weeks. It is very difficult to give an exact transit time.

SA post has a similar transit time to DHL express, say 3 to 5 weeks. That is if there are no hiccups. There have been instances of strikes or lack of fuel and other retarding issues. If somethings goes wrong it may take months.

DHL Express normally delivers within a week. You will always know where your shipment is on their tracking site.
